Our 5 Step Guide to Purchasing a Home!
Step 1: Our Initial Consultation
This is our time to listen and ask questions so we provide you with options that make the most sense for your search. From your budget to your wish list we’ll cover all the bases so we know exactly what kinds of homes to show you (and, of course, which ones to skip all together). During these conversations, we’ll share our access to everything we see on our side of the process, literally sharing our listing screen with you during the meeting.
Step 2: Home Showings
We’ll walk with you through each of the houses we select together and as we do, we’ll get to know what you like. We’ll also let you know why those things might appeal to you and keep track of that information for future showings. If there’s something about a home that’s not the right fit or could be a cause for concern, we’ll be there to un-sell you on a home faster than we’d sell you on another.
Step 3: Financials and Mortgages
Budget matters, and while we cover financials in our initial consultation, we remain extremely sensitive to what your target price range may be. Your mortgage payment has a big impact on your life beyond the sale. That’s why we’re dedicated to ensuring that you get the house that’s the right fit for you financially. Our mortgage representative is a self-proclaimed credit nerd who keeps your financial big picture in mind.
Step 4: Home Inspections
The inspection process can feel daunting, but our team helps you navigate through it with less stress. We’ll help you understand what’s a problem, what’s not and what you need to know to make the right home buying decision. We’ll help you learn to identify red flags as we walk through homes and when we review inspections so you know what to look for whenever you make a future home purchase too.
Step 5: Getting To Your Closing
We don’t shy away from going the extra mile. So, while other agents might say something like, “Well, you need to get that certificate of occupancy from the seller” and leave you wondering exactly how that works, we will be on it right away to help you get things done.
